As the Assistant Chief Explorer of my post and a leader with the Greater Lake County Young Marines, it is my belief that the best way to learn is to watch yourself do something (as if it was videotaped), and talk about your mistakes. Hopefully soon I will start posting videos for everyone of myself and my explorers teaching classes. I will also talk about our mistakes, and I encourage you to comment on them. We only have training once a week (Thursdays) so I will let everyone know when I start getting videos posted. Do any of you have any stories of how you were able to learn from your mistakes???![]()

Fern, I saw the video of you setting up your tanker pumper. Great Job, and that is one sweet truck. You can see the video of Fern over on the Nursing ops thread.

I saw the video. It definitely is a sweet truck. I would like to see how it handles on our gravels though.

Gravels as in gravel roads? That truck can handle a lot. We have had it on gravel roads before and it does just fine. We had the truck custom built for us by Rosenbauer.

Very good!! On rare occasions do we ever do a operation as the video shows.
Always a static, hydrant, source of water, even on the freeways hydrants are available off the road and are so indicated by signage. Plus a mapping section on water available is on all the MDC's
