GOOD GOLLY MEDSTUDENT, YOU HAVE GONE OVER YOUR QUOTA OF LOGINS AND THEY WILL NOW LOCK YOU OUT AND PULL ALL PENDING AND FUTURE AWARDS....... I am only joking MED. They do this every so often for no apparent reason, and they appear to be random. I have my fingers crossed for you for this Friday. Have a safe trip home from Philly tomorrow. Sounds like it is going to be a beautiful day!!

What!?! John, you're my hero! No phone calls yet from congress. I'll write more later. I'm on my iPhone and I can't say much with one finger typing

New thread pending
See, and I checked back to 12/15/09 and you were one of the first to get an 1199 update notification. Took this long. Well till this coming Friday anyway.
When you get if officially, you still have to post a new thread with the announcement.
Maybe Jman will have some hope now.

Technically yes, because we don't know jman's department. But believe me, we're all following his too.

Thanks everyone! Congratulations to everyone else who is getting an award this week! Our ambulance co. president, who has been helping me all along with our grant, was very surprised too. We are breaking the news to the rest of the company tomorrow.
I don't know if my public plea for an award on these forums had anything to do with it, but I'd like to believe so. This was absolutely awesome to be able to deliver the news the day I came home from school.
Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. It's a slow process, but it's worth it.

OKAY MEDSTUDENT ::: NOW you can start your Happy dance !!!
Give yourself a big Pat on the back, you managed to crack one of the hardest grants your first time out of the box.
By the way::: we told you that patience would pay off.
Congrats

Now we get to follow the bidding, and see how badly the vendors want to sell an ambulance!

I'm lost. For the bidding, do I send out the RFP to manufacturers (e.g. Braun, Lifeline, Road Rescue, etc)? Or, do I have to try and find a dealer of each one of these in/near my state?

Congrat's Med
Now can I get you to get some word on my grant
I'd contact the manufacturer's and ask for local dealer's closest to you.
I'm guessing the crew has already decided on the goodie's ? Keep in mind the distances after the sale for warranty and recalls. If they come to you to perform repairs would be even better. Chassis work would be local.
I do hope you planned on a winch for the front and back or at least tow hooks since it will be a 4x4 ?
