    Default The NFPA's newest member.

True story: I just a letter in the mail from the NFPA. It's a membership form. I'm sure many of you have received these. I've received a few in the past, myself. This one's different, though: it's addressed to my dog. Has his name printed on it and everything.

    It's $150, but screw it; I'm writing a check.

Go ahead and laugh, but this time next year, you'll be wearing your brand new NFPA required rawhide-chew boots. Also, your fancy new apparatus will be required to have a pupperoni dispenser mounted on the back.

That is hysterical! As a long-time NFPA member myself, I haven't had any applications come addressed to MY critters!

I just showed this to wifey. She reminded me that about month go one of our dogs got an offer from Capital One for a low interest credit card.

KingHippo...maybe your dog can register for NFPA using my dog's credit card!

Ummmmm, Are those Pup-Peroni's NFPA approved????
A Fire Chief has ONLY 1 JOB and that's to take care of his fireman. EVERYTHING else falls under this.

Sure, it's just repackaged slim jims.
I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.

the package doesn't have the required area of reflective trim and the rear of the package lacks chevrons.

I am actually a member through the department but they can never get my rank or name right.

Our Station Mascot was a member of NFPA many years ago. It started out as a joke.

The Department still gets mail for 'him' every couple of months.

    The mail comes addressed to:

    I R Ruff
    Deputy Dog
    XXXXX Fire Dept
    XXX S. Broadway

Ooops... hope NFPA doesn't reading this.
