    Default Denver drill...

    Hey Everyone,

Our department is in the process of building a chamber to practice the techniques of getting out of an area full of wires...

We are building the chamber based on photos we have seen. Does anyone know of a lesson plan that is out there? We have ideas floating around, but if there is a lesson plan out there we could customize it to our needs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

You're title says "Denver Rescue". Are you talking about the "Denver Drill" which teaches how to remove an unconscious firefighter out a window from a confined space? or a wire tunnel? Two completely different things.

Yes it should be Denver Drill, rescue from a wire tunnel is what we are building. We also have several debris fields and there is talk of self rescue hanging out a window.

    Thanks for the correction...

The Denver Drill and a Wire entanglement are two different types of drills. the Denver Drill involves gdtting a Firefighter out of a narrow hallway area and up and out a window. There is no wires involved with it. The Wire entanglement drill is where a Firefighter is crawling and crawls beneath a framework that has different types of wires hanging from it that can snag on the Firefighter's gear. If you just do a google search you can find lots of ideas Search for Firefighter training props.
