Generators will be taking the lowest priority in station mods, ie not getting funded in all likelihood with the drop in award money.

There was the previous catch that none would be awarded to stations built after ?? 2003??

Correct, that's been in place for a while since NFPA 1500 has required alarms, sprinklers, and exhaust management solutions in all new stations since the 2003 edition. Build a new building, have to put that stuff in from the beginning.
