How is it possible that we have AFG 2010 scheduled when the Senate has not even voted on HR 3791 the Fire Grants Reauthorization Act of 2009,which is the bill to reauthorized AFG, SAFER & FP&S from FY2010-2014??

That's 2011 thru 2014, must be a misprint. 2010 was authorized last year, that's where the rangle over the $380mil was when they upped SAFER to $420mil and Pascrell and Company added the other $10mil to it in a last minute compromise or something like that.

Anyone notice the amendment added putting river rescue organizations as eligible under the rescue catagorey?

Whoah guy, that amendment is to the legislation that is currently under consideration in the Senate for the 2011-2014 AFG. It won't apply in 2010 besides, my clients have been awarded for swift water rescue on previous AFG. What are you having problems with? Give me a shout offline.

There is a new NFPA standard that will be applicable to PPE.
NFPA 1952: Standard on Surface Water Operations Protective Clothing and Equipment, 2010 Edition
FYI: I have contacted various manufacturers on NFPA compliance for dry suits (was looking at PPE for FD boat rescue ops). The general consensus, it's not going to happen any time soon, if at all in some cases. It appears that it may not be economically feasible to achieve NFPA compliance.
I have decided to wait until 2011 AFG to see how things pan out or find a different solution.

Bugle, you are the ultimate NFPA standards consultant. We were thinking about getting a subscription to the NFPA site, but with you, it would save me 7-800 bucks per year.

Hit Neoiwa up on the FEPP program, at one time I saw several Zodiacs on the list. I would like to have one of them, but I don't know how good they are to fish out of. lol

Not a grant but if you have $150 try this:
25" fiberglass Boston Whaler with twin 150hp units, trailer, opening bid as of today at 12:00AM- $150 - auction closes 3/18 - probably go for less than $2500
