    Default SCBA Fill Station-Compressor bids

Would anyone be willing to share a Request for Bids on a SCBA fill sta. and compressor set up. I am struggling to pull one together and would like to reference one that has already been used.

    Thanks.

Thank you! I think that is exactly what everyone was looking for. Although I am going through competitive pricing, I particularly like the part about air quality testing by third party... I certainly would have overlooked that...

    Your Welcome Troyboy:
The third party air quality testing & certification is important so that you know the vendor selling the unit doesn't just gundeck the lab report on their new equipment.

I know of one new system that had an internal manufacturing problem and the air was contaminated with compressor oil that was caught by the testing lab.
That department got a new unit to replace theirs.

Remember that you will need to test the air quality semi annually and to post the lab certificate near the compressor. Dept of labor folks are insistent about that and the fines can be large if you fail to comply.

Your department or town may have other "boilerplate" that they want added into the RFP. Alter to suit your needs.
