About LinkBacksFor me, no snow, the ice is off the pond, those same two ducks are back, and the maple syrup season is over (the sap has stopped running). Now to get the mower ready and the bug spray out.
Good news is only 6 more months until winter!!!!

Horses are starting to shed.....we have gone from snow to MUD.....that's how we know it is spring here!

I have always wondered how far south the maple trees go. You are right, it does take patience to make the syrup. I heat with a wood stove (soon to be gone thank god) So I Put the sap on the stove and let it evaporate. Merely collect it twice a day and let it cook. 2 gallons of pure maple syrup (selling for $25 a quart) for doing almost nothing. Real ample syrup is the best. I suppose if I had to put more effort into it I wold let it ride as well. Originally Posted by hwoods

For us down Southwest its when the snake calls start coming in.

You know it's Spring...
...when the fair weather bikers start riding again.Okay,so mine was a Wally World special but I needed to ride to get to and from work or to the fire station when the tones dropped no matter what the weather was doing.
I have to laugh at some of the bikers rumbling around on warm days but not when it's cold,rainy and miserable.
I could also comment about the way some women dress in warm weather but this is a family paper.
