    Question Rideout question

Can anyone tell me or send me the test they had to take before they could be cleared to do ride outs.

Ask an officer in your department. And define your department's version of rideout. For me rideouts were working over spring break during the day with the on-duty guy and helping him out with chores and running calls when we got them. I just asked my officers to make sure they didn't mind, then I was clear.

Yeah I would say just talk to an officer at your department. I'm not sure how big your department it, but at mine it's just one person paid per day, that works an 8-5 shift. So on days when I'm not in school and I have time, if I do a rideout then most of the time it's just me and one other firefighter. At your department it may be different. How many are on a shift at yours?
