Diving Unlimited International is hosting a "Risk Management for Public Safety Divers" program on April 9 and Blades Robinson with the International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists will also speak about Public Safety Diving fatalities and lessons learned since 1960. The cost for the morning session is $10 and includes lunch.
In the afternoon, the International Association of Dive Rescue Specialists will conduct the International Public Safety Diver Regional Challenge where the winners will qualify for $1,000 cash, $500 travel stipends to the "international finals" competition where more than $10,000 in prizes will be awarded and waived fees to the International Public Safety Diver Conference.
