Looks like Crimson is marketing a PUC style pumper except the pump is under the body (PUB?) just ahead of the rear whee. Didn't see it on their site, but they've got a full page in FH this month.
The pump panel looks strange almost as an afterthought? To bad to redesign something and still make the operator straddle the incoming water be it LDH or suction? The only thing that makes a lot of sense to me is locating the panel here as the space over the wheel well seems to be the least tool friendly, so opening up other areas to full size compartments is not a bad idea.
The fact that the pump is all in the body opens up the design to all types of cab I'd think. But I think calling it "the New Standard for Pumpers" may be overly optimistic.
Anyone else get seen this?

The Hockey Stick! I like it!!

Yeah the pump panel looks like it would be movable and the PTO driven pump opens up options so it seems to be a decent option set. Are they pricing this as a "new standard pumper" or will the end user pay higher prices for engineering as is the case with rear mounts and most builders?

$$$$ - Don't know yet
Glad you liked my little attempt at some humor. I did suggest a couple of other names that were more in tune with the concept so we'll see.
I don't want to have my post sound like a sales pitch or ad for this product or Crimson but I will try and answer your question. I was not told of any price points as of yet but they will not be pricing this product any higher than current products just to try and recoup any engineering costs. This still unnamed product will be another model in the line and will be priced accordingly.

I think there's some of us on here that don't come off as "sales pitchy" but more informative. I would hope I'm included in that list, and you certainly are Tom...

Thanks joel - I'll try to get more
Thanks Joel, like you I do try to stick to information and not ads.
Ardie, there is nothing on the internet or the Crimson web site on the truck yet so no link to give you. I am heading out first thing this morning but I'll try to get some more info today and will send you an email if I do. Won't be until later this afternoon but I'll try.

This body and a few other Crimson bodies will be unveiled at FDIC 2010 in a few days. If you are able to make it to Indy come to Crimson's booth to take a close up look. I will also take pictures while I'm there and post them for others who are unable to make it. Stay Safe!!
