We've had a lot of guys go out and buy their own Globe boots. We've all had very good luck with them and would recommend them to anybody that asks. I had originally tried looking for the Haix boots, but couldn't find a dealer for them. We have 3 Globe dealers that we can deal with, so their boots are much easier to get. I'm not sure who would even carry the others.

BTW, there have been many different threads on this. Please try using search and you can get a lot more info.

We have Haix. OK boots. Not much to recommend over many other brands of leather structural boots that I can see.

I wouldn't have a boot that didn't have steel insole and toe (so no Globe). Or a boot which could not be resoled (so no Globe). And way over priced.

Bang for the $ in leather boot is Thorogood's new. Shop around and can find for under $200 and have every feature you could want.

The New Globes are the best pair of fire boots I've ever worn. The are the best by far.

The Globe is by far the best boot I have ever worn. Expensive, but very, very good. The Globes are also the third pair of leather boot I have worn. Warringtons and Haix were what I had previously; good boots, but not as good as the Globe.
No nails, no punctures, no leaks after three years of wear. They are also great in the winter on ice and snow.

You do get what you pay for.

Any fears of putting a nail through then? We have a few members worried about that. not too sure about not having a steel plate.

I bought a pair of Warrington Pro 8000's here recently. I'm very happy with them, but I'm not going to lie I wish I had spent the extra money on the globes.

The globe boots are great. I wouldn't worry about anything penetrating the boot. They seem to be very tough and very comfortable also. I really like them along with the globe gear.

I really disliked the pair of Haix leather I got issued. They were uncomfortable to say the least.

I'm rocking some Pro Warrington now, and my feet thank me.

Thank every one for there input It does help to hear from others on this point.

The Haix Rep. gave me a pair of boots to demo. They fit like a glove but after a while I would get fatigued. Also I can't get them off they fit to good. I had the globe rep come in to compare his boot to the Haix. and everyone liked the Globe more. Luckly we have NFG grant so we can afford to buy all Globe

Reviving an old thread. Had two confirmed nail punctures through Globe boots. Yes, very comfortable but am now not convinced they have a robust enough sole.
