No seriously. Use the search function for FIT-5.“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.” Leo F. Buscaglia

Backflip first posted about the FIT-5 in July of 2009...
he didn't just find it. I think he's a shill for ARA Safety. I did a search of his posts and found this...

I am an asst chief on Long Island.
I have heard a rumor of a failure also. I have also spoken to a chief in our area who used one. He was very satisfied.
Even with the possible failure, I am..."The education of a firefighter and the continued education of a firefighter is what makes "real" firefighters. Continuous skill development is the core of progressive firefighting. We learn by doing and doing it again and again, both on the training ground and the fireground."

And what if I have an interest here? No need to worry and wonder about me or search my history. Lets spend our time and efforts in a more efficient and productive fashion.
What about the information in my post? Seems that independent thinking and agencies are taking notice.
Read the article and please respond intelligently, there are many open minded intelligent individuals on this forum, what do you think?
Save the personal attacks, disparaging comments and bashing for when you are face to face, rather than anonymously from a keyboard please.
Have a good day.

Because your an idiot, which negates anything you post. Your evasive lying tactics turn people away from wanting to buy it. And even if you weren't a lying scumbag violating the ToS by trying to market your POS on the forum, nobody is going to read that long blabbering sales pitch BS you posted because its too long.
Even the burger-flippers at McDonald's probably have some McWackers.

I think it's a gimmick and any fire department that buys one should be ashamed.
As for your shameless promotion of this dubious device... well, the previous posters captured it well.
Wonder what the response will be when they find one of this deployed frisbees sitting next to a victim?
All this does is encourage front lawn firefighting.I am now a past chief and the views, opinions, and comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for any department or in any official capacity. Although, they would be smart to listen to me.
"The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on the list."
"When tempted to fight fire with fire, remember that the Fire Department usually uses water."

Well backflip,
Let me spell this out for you.
1) You tried to pretend this was you first post on the topic with your "Found this, any intelligent thoughts?????" line of BS.
2) By lying you destroyed any hope you had of credibility.
3) Cutting and pasting something from a manufacturers web site makes it obvious that either you work directly for ARA or are a field sales person. The Copyright ARA Safety Inc 2009 at the bottom was a nice touch.
4) This device has been debated here to the point of making everyone vomit.
5) The failures never seem to be listed by you charlatans. AND, there are documented failures.
6) It is not supposed to be used around victims of fire...golly how do you know if anyone is in the house if you don't go inside FIRST?
7) Go away.“The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing, and becomes nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn and feel and change and grow and love and live.” Leo F. Buscaglia

Outstanding... <clap, clap, clap>
If our job was to just put fires out we would use giant piercing nozzles on the end of a boom, like some ARRF trucks have. Pull up to the scene, put the fire out and drive away.
No our primary job is to protect lives. That means interior attack and search. Until the FIT-5 can complete a primary search before it goes into extinguishment mode, then it is just as useful as a paperweight.
And your sales tactic is shameless.
