Smokejumpers TV Show

According to Wildfire Today, a blog about wildland firefighting, CMT (country music television) is doing a one hour special on smokejumpers on Friday, April 23. This looks like it could be interesting. I wonder if it will be an accurate representation of the actual job though.

It should be, parts of It was Filmed in Missoula, But you know TV it can misrepresent any thing.

One of my men attending fire college called me just after the show had started to tell me it was on. I wasn't even aware of the show.

Not being a professional wildlander, I thought the show was very interesting.

So is this going to be a series or what?

i dont think it is a series.

i was kinda disappointed with it... i mean it was interesting, but i was expecting something different from what they showed. i was thinking it was going to focus around the operations instead of rookie training, but it was good.
