..Share Amid gusting winds and a light snowfall on Wednesday, the A-frame home of Sean and Sheri Bromley was gutted by a fire.
The house at 10535 N. 6000 West in Highland was a block north of Strasberg Park and was vacant at the time. A flood had previously destroyed much of the kitchen.
"They were on vacation earlier this year when something broke in the upstairs and flooded the kitchen, ruining a lot of the cabinets," neighbor Erin Pritchett said. All that was left after the fire were the charred roof supports amid the smoldering ruins.
The call came in to the fire department at about 9:15 a.m. and crews were just mopping up at 11 a.m. "It was fully engulfed by the time we got there," fireman Matt Harding said. Three fire departments responded: Lehi, Highland/Alpine and American Fork.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined
