On the new CMT show "Danger Coast" about the Miami-Dade fireboat, they mention "Auxiliary Crew Medics" quite a bit. Are these medics part of a volunteer auxiliary to the fire department or are the "auxiliary" in the sense that they aren't permanently assigned to the fireboat and just go on it occassionally?

Yeah its just floating medics who work on the boat. I got a buddy of mine who used to get tossed over there when he was working in that battalion.
