Does anyone know off the top of their head, which standards references hose and appliances such as portable monitors?
Is there a recommendation on replacement age? or is it just as annual testing failures show the need? We have a lot of 2 1/2" & 1 3/4" that is in excess of twenty years old.
Working on fine tuning our narrative for replacing it. Would also need some new 3" and attack monitors to complete the package.
thanks in advance

Standard for Fire Hose
Standard for the Inspection, Care and Use of Fire Hose, Couplings and Nozzles; and the Service Testing of Fire Hose
Standard for Fire Hose Connections
Standard for Spray Nozzles
Standard for Fire Hose Appliances
Hose is normally 10 years frontline then reserves in the station for 5-10, can't remember which. Out at 20 no matter what.

Read the annex of 1962-2008 - Specifically, Section A.7.1 states the following "...fire departments should give careful consideration to a 10-year maximum service life under normal operating conditions.Ē
Hope that helps.

Thanks Dave. I did see that after a quick read through.
Just looking for those little extras for the narrative justification.
