A portable John shattered and splattered on a Downtown Jersey City street after plummeting 25 stories from a high-rise construction site during Saturday's heavy winds, officials said today.
The Johnny-on-the-spot hurtled to ground at 7:36 p.m. and struck the pavement at Sixth Street and Washington Boulevard causing "a spill of its internal contents and the plastic structure of the portable toilet to be destroyed," reports said.
Firefighters who were at the location on an elevator extraction call said they spotted the toilet falling from a height of approximately 25 stories and then closed Washington Boulevard to traffic until police arrived, reports said.
Jersey City Police Emergency Services Unit officers were called to the scene to "remove the remnants" of the Port-a-Loo and a Belleville cleaning company responded to clean up the vile spill, reports said.
Police said other debris was blowing from the building as well. After the portable toilet crashed to the ground, a city official and a representative of AJD Construction walked through the construction site to ensure that everything was secure, reports said.

We responded to a portable toilet on fire once, which was positioned in a new development. Nobody noticed it for a while and by the time we got there it was a big pile of liquid plastic and other "waste" that was burning away.
It gave us hours of fun filled discusions about only getting "sh$tty calls", "the merrits of PPV vs. sh$t hitting the fan", "crap fires", and so forth..."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -- Benjamin Franklin

I could just imagine sitting there working on an Elevator door and just seeing a huge blue object drop right next to you out the window.
Hilarious.

It actually got thrown off because a visitor from the mountains couldn't figure out how to flush the toilet.
