    Default SAFER Grant for volunteers going to College.

    Louisiana has a new Statewide grant program that will pay volunteers to go to college.

    Welcome to the LSFA's "Safer" Tuition Reimbursement Grant website, where you can learn more about applying for college tuition reimbursement of up to $8,000 (for a 2-year degree) or $16,000 (for a 4-year degree) by choosing to serve your community and the State of Louisiana by signing up to become a volunteer fireman after graduation.

    We have 3 members that have been accepted.

    Last I knew, there was actually more funding available the folks that applied for the program.

    I understood that also. It is a great program. With this program and TOPS it should be a zero cost for many.
