    Nope, but keep in mind they are using the same testing company as Montgomery co. They got results late, so I would say it's fair to say it's going to be a while longer!!!!

    Just got my letter today, and it stated the following; I scored a 75, not my best score, but I passed. and that if you scored a 85 or above the Co. will be contacting you. If you score is between 70 and 85 you will be contact as see fit. So my question is do I still stand a chance on getting a call to move on w/ the process and get hired? or is this just a another "be put on a list sorta thing"?

    i received my letter also...i got a 78%..PGFD normally hires multiple classes off one list so don't worry...

    i called and was told the top 250 candidates will receive a letter proceeding with the background check. The top 400 will receive a letter with info on the CPAT orientation.

    Got my letter for CPAT! So is the backround check info to be included with my CPAt letter, or will it be a seperate letter? And if I don't get a backround package, i'm in top 400?

    Was the info on the cpat or background on one letter or was a second sent? I received one letter with my score, which was above 85%, and it said I would be contacted. I am checking to see if I should be on the lookout for another letter or not.

    Does anyone have any specifics on the academy? How many people do they usual run in a class? How many classes do they run at the same time? If they hire the 94 from the safer grant will that most likely be broken up into 2 academy classes, and if so concurrently or one after the other?

    Rumors are after a recent election there will be a new County Exec in office and a new Fire Chief...is that good or bad for the hiring process?

    I'm not sure about the fire chief rumor. I'm just excited about the CPAT orientation next week. Does anyone know when the actual CPAT exam is?

    I did hear the rumor about the new county exec but nothing about the chief. My orientation is tomorrow at 7pm and am travelling quite a ways. Wanted to see if anyone knew how long it is expected to be so I can plan my travel accordingly. Also I scored lower than an 85 but still received an invite to the orientation. When I called PGHR they told me that if I received a letter that I was being considered for hire and because of disqualifications and job declines I have moved up into the top percentage of applicants. I just don't know if it means I have a very good shot of getting the nod for the academy or if I'm in the bottom of the barrel at this point. Anyone with any information would be great.

    What do you mean process? Filling out the blue book or have you met with investigators?

    I'm finishing up my Blue Book now. Still waiting on a call from the BI.
