This intensive and fast-paced session focuses on the prevention, *recognition & management of drowning and aquatic injuries by fire, rescue *and EMS personnel, including incident pre-planning, training and preparation of personnel, acquiring resources, public education strategies, collaboration with local lifeguard services, etc. *NFPA 1670 Standard for Technical Rescue will be discussed as well as pre-planning for response to submerged vehicles, in-water domestic animal rescue incidents, ice rescue, flood rescue, etc. **This session should be of interest and benefit to fire, rescue, EMS, and law enforcement personnel responsible for public safety & education, emergency response, or incident investigation. *
