Default Question on Average Vehicle Age

We have a Quint on order that goes in service this coming weekend. It gets delivered Friday afternoon. Does it count toward the average age of the vehicle fleet? Sorry if this question has been answered, but this is a close call (I think).

    Thanks.

I don't understand what the "chacter requirment" is. Please elaborate.

My understanding is that vehicles that are on order but not in the fleet as of a certain point in time do not count against the average vehicle fleet age. We were not planning to hide the order of the new vehicle. We plan to use it to our financial advantage in that the municipality cannot fund 2 vehicles in 3 years.

    Thanks.

OK. I found it here (http://www.firehouse.com/forums/show...=112965&page=2 (2010 AFG Question)). Once it's on order, it counts.

Sorry for not finding it earlier.

All vehicles under contract to be manufactured or delivered must be counted.
