This presentation will teach firefighters a system of how to respond safely to hazardous material incidents by addressing mission-specific competencies through the use of monitoring instruments. Developed by firefighters for firefighters, this session will also cover the clues of placards, labels, and container shapes and how they can assist with selecting appropriate tactics and evaluating risk. HazMat IQ – FRO will also show how turnouts, SCBA, and monitoring instruments can handle a majority of the hazmat emergencies that occur in your community.
