FDNY alternative test dates

It appears the FDNY will be offering their test in January of 2011. I anticipate being deployed to Afghanistan for military service until early February 2011. Does anybody know if there are alternative options for taking the test i.e. a later date for those in my situation. I am sure I'm not the only one.

It will depend on when you'd be available to take the exam (I believe), but there is an alt date for people in your position from what I've picked up following the 6019 thread. Good luck & stay safe.

i am also in a similar situation except i will be in japan until aug of 2012. I know that that is a long time but if i know ahead of time when the test is i can possibly put in for leave to come take the test... how can i stay up on knowing and what is the best way to apply?
