Interesting, so you guys must not like the Arizona law and feel that we should not protect our borders. No wonder this country is going down the tubes.

Yes the Indians did not have guns. However, the analogy still holds. Thus was their land in the beginning and they did nothing to stop the British, French, Germans, and other early settlers from taking over. In the process they got shoved onto small pieces of land and live in poverty. Talk about a group really entitled to reparations.

This is as meaningless a comparison as your oil spill comparisons. You posting some retarded picture and dumbass quote has nothing to do with Arizona. I for one love what Arizona is doing. You using it to purport your stupidity is insulting.

I apologize if i have difficulty getting down to your intellectual level. All of my analogies are accurate, just that those of low mental capacity have difficulty comprehending them. Now run off and watch some more Sesame Street.

The only reason you can't get to a lower intellectual level is because you're already at the bottom.

That makes absolutely no sense what so ever. Think about what you are writing, write it, then read it.

But to comment. If I am already at the bottom and I can't lower myself to your level, where does that put you?

I said you were at the bottom. I'm not talking about me, just you. I can't tell you where I am on your arbitrary level of intelligence, however given that you are at the bottom and you can't get any lower than the bottom, I'm obviously somewhere above you.

Bit of crossed up paths on your history here Firemech. Spanish were the first to abuse the Native Americans. Actually it was the Norwegians to be historically correct. These appear to be Apache or similar Southwest Tribe so Arizona area is historically correct

Scandanavian Vikings were Norwegians. Look into history on Harald, king of the Norseland, Leiv Eriksson, Eric Raude. If you want to get into a history peeing contest, bring it on sonny.

Still, despite not having firearms, the Indians weren't unarmed.Their weapons might have been short ranged but they were quiet, more rapidly fired and the ammuntions could immediately be re-used once pulled out of a body. Not so with bullets with had to be melted down and recast.(Talking about muzzleloaders, not those new fangled cartridge guns that you load on Sunday and shoot all week)
They put up a Hell of an effort but were still worn down by the law of attrition.

    That whole smallpox-thing was a b*&ch too..

For a good book on pre-Columbus civilizations in the Americas check out 1491..
1491 is not so much the story of a year, as of what that year stands for: the long-debated (and often-dismissed) question of what human civilization in the Americas was like before the Europeans crashed the party.

Regardless of what your point was, using images of Native American Indians or the image of slaves to make a point is tasteless!

The first four letters of analogies spell anal.. which is a description of bodily region where your head is presently stuck in.

That's nine post a day, more when you factor in all the time outs.

And that is more like a waste of oxygen.

You analogy is off base, at best and more then likely insulting. The native Americans were curious, trusting and there nature was taken advantage of. The current aliens are, for the most part, being used as pawns by the politician's, to further their careers. I agree the boarder should be secured but the government is more worried about posturing than security.
Most would be hard pressed to find posting non-related material on a site as "intellectual". More than likely your behavior would remind most of a 15 year old, unsupervised, with unlimited time on the internet. Grow up.

ScareCrow seems to take a lot of abuse on this forum...

Less the last statement on the picture, which may be offensive to some natives, I have seen this print on t-shirts at Powwows already. I've been to my share, my wife being a Native American and all.

I will just say that this is a picture of Geronimo (on the right) and I would venture to guess at the time he was fighting the US government they would in fact have possessed guns. I do believe this is an actual photograph.

That being said, I do not wish to get into debate about border control.
