    Default Smoke detector donations

My dept is having an open house in July and I would like to give out smoke & co detectors, but have a tight budget. Are any of the manufacturers doing donations anymore? I sent out emails but have gotten no replies yet.

Contact the City of Philadelphia Fire Department Fire Marshal's Office. They run a yearly give-away with one of the local TV News stations, but I don't know if they get the detectors for free or not.

Check with your local insurance agents. American Family has supplied us with smoke detectors before.

Check with your local Lowes or Home Depot. In the past, Lowes has contributed to this sort of community program.

As far as insurance companies, State Farm is another agency to check.
