    Default Orange Fire Gloves???

    has anyone else seen these? ive seen them in a few videos, just wondering if anyone knows who makes them or where i can get them..???

    Orange fireball gloves. In many departments they were used mostly by engine guys. The wristlets were about half as long as the ones in the picture so you did get an occational cut or burn. They were still widely used into the 80's. Now I think guys have them on the rig mostly for picking up hose in the winter.

    Try Home Depot or Lowes. They have no puncture,or thermal protection so you'll get cut, burned, and impaled. Enjoy.

    the guy wearing them shows up around 2:10, it maybe the glove your talking about idk... all i was wondering is who made them and how they were, the video says it was shot in 2010

    Ah. the infamous "Fireball" gloves. When I came on the job in 1973 that's what we all wore. They had absolutely no good features other than being waterproof. They were hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and above all, they were FLAMMABLE. I still have the scars on the backs of both hands.

    I grew up the son of a firefighter. Only time I ever saw dad wearing them was while handling the hose to dump the sewage out of our R.V....

    They were good for that I suppose!
