You can call FEMA directly asking to be a peer review panelist, but if really helps to be nomiated by one of the following organizations:

Nine Major National Fire Organizations:

o IAAI – International Association of Arson Investigators

o IAFF – International Association of Fire Fighters

o CFSI – Congressional Fire Service Institute

o NAFTD – North American Fire Training Directors

o ISFSI – International Society of Fire Service Instructors

o NFPA – National Fire Protection Association

o NASFM – National Association of State Fire Marshals

o IAFC – International Association of Fire Chiefs

o NVFC – National Volunteer Fire Council



Other National Fire Organizations:

o IAHF – International Association of Hispanic Firefighters

o IABPFF – International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters

o WFS – Women in the Fire Service

o NAFC – Native American Fire Chiefs

o NAHF – National Association of Hispanic Firefighters

o FDSOA – Fire Department Safety Officers Association
