Same to you brother. You heard anything on how many has applied? I live out of state, so I don't hear much news coming from there.

Anyone know about the HOBET testing? From what I read, it seems to be a lot like the written test.
Obviously I'm thinking way too far ahead, but I like to be prepared!
On that note, did anyone hear when they will post the results of the written test?

no didnt hear anything about the test scores, pobly. in the mail. the H.O.B.E.T test I believe the way it was said to me was it was a test to see if you could pass or learn the info of the EMT side of the job? or a comp. test to see if you can learn info giving to you.
Just one thing i saw at test was guys wear t-shirts and shorts, what happen to shirts and ties? just my one cents.

Taken from their site:
The City of Charleston will be contacting all candidates who will advance to the interviews via telephone. We expect to begin making these calls on Friday, July 30 (this is subject to change). Only those candidates who will be advancing to the interview phase will be contacted.

Scores are posted. You need at least an 89.31 to get an interview.

Yeah I saw that last night. They changed the score, maybe some people dropped out or something? It now says the list is going to be good for awhile, so maybe they wanted to keep more applicants.
It also no longer says anything about the interview calls starting today.Last edited by shznyt; 07-30-2010 at 12:47 PM.
