Your email did not work. And firehouse.com will not upload excel files or powerpoint to the forums. Email me at alyman@round-rock.tx.us if you want these files.

I looked at your email address in your post. I'm trying @gmail.com instead of @gamil.com like you have written.

    Cool Confine Space Entry Permits

I'll send you a copy of our CSEP. I attach a Con Space I.C. Sheet to mine that way all my paperwork is together.

Also, FiremanLyman..... Any Depts around there anticipating any openings and gonna test. I'm a career Captain in So. California and my family and I are looking to relocate to that area. All I have to do is pay my money and I'll be certified to the FO II level, but I don't want to drop the coin unless I know I've got some testing coming-up. Feel free to P.M. me with any information you have. I check the TCFP website all the time...

Austin should be testing real darn soon. They worked a deal with the city (or the city worked them a deal) to run a fast-track program. So for the first time in a long time they are hiring pre-trained people, saving the city money by not running a cadet academy. Give them a call.

Round Rock, Pflugerville, Georgetown and most of the Travis County ESD's all have ran their hiring or are in the middle of it. Keep checking TCFP.

You can find a series of confined space worksheets and checklists on this podcast: http://www.firehouse.com/podcast/buz...ed-space-entry

Look just below the write up.

    Pete,

    http://www.firehouse.com/files/artic...try-Sheets.pdf

13 pages seems a little counter productive when trying to effect a rescue. Any suggestions on de-cluttering or reducing that files size?

    Default CSE Permits

    Drew,
Here's an OSHA link for you http://www.osha.gov/pls/oshaweb/owad...ARDS&p_id=9801
They have an example on a confined space permit you can draw from. My advice would be to look at a few examples and create your own. In my experience permits will differ as you go from one industry to another or from one department to another. Some are great some leave a lot to be desired. Here's your chance to create something great.
Your permit doesn't need to be five pages long....hell it could be only 1 page, as long as it covers all the vital information and is user friendly you've done well.
