The OSFM has been donated First Alert Safety Blankets that we would like to pass on to Risk Watch Participants for use in your communities! We are opening this up to Risk Watch communities FIRST, so act quickly before we let all Illinois Fire Departments know (just a little Thank You for all you do).
The First Alert Safety Blankets are flame resistant, can be used to contain or smother small fires, and helps maintain body warmth in cold environments outside a house or with car breakdowns. These blankets will cover infants and most small children under the age of 7.
We will ship these blankets in quantities of 12. If you distribute all 12 blankets, more may be available at a later date. Please keep in mind we have LIMITED QUANITITES. For tracking purposes, all requests must be made through your local fire department.
I hope you all can take advantage of this opportunity! Please have your local fire departments email me, Jessica Blackford at jessica.blackford@illinois.gov ,with their contact information to receive the blankets!
