Need help with firehouse software moving from one computer to another
Hey all, trying to move FH 7.5 from one pc to another. I contacted ACS's support and got instructions on how to do it and I followed them, but there is a problem. We have one license. When I try to login on new computer. I get the following statement:
"Your maximum concurrent user limit of 1 has been exceeded."
I have shut down old PC and both are connected to the internet. We needed to switch over the weekend because we wanted to keep down time to maximum and we're a vollie dept so IT time during the week is difficult and this is becoming a big problem because our old PC is dying.
Does anyone know how to get around this? We just want to make sure things work on new PC before we decom the old pc.

You need to re-install FH on the new computer, transfer your DATA, QUERIES, etc. (four folders and I cant remember them all) to the new computer via the network or cd. Then delete FH off of the old computer after ensuring that you've backed up all of your software. Hope this helps

I got a hold of FH and it was an issue about user logins still hung on the old computer. Transferred the files per their proceedure and it's working well. Just looks a lot different between Windows XP and Windows 7
