that would be awesome if we found out our results the day of the test rather than waiting around for an email

ya they have been. im hoping they are moving quickly because they want to get a class in quickly! just hoping thats the case. So people were saying if you got under 2:00 on physical you got a 5 out of 5. Does that score stay the same for the written test you think? i mean on a 10 point scale adding the two up?

    You are earning what now??

That is good pay for someone who is just starting out and maybe out of high school for a year or two, trying to get employed.

A lot of cities don't pay that much for firefighters annual salary.

You say you work for Memphis? Didn't know they hired so young there!

I think that you written will be added to an over all score but I think it would be more than,10 points

    I'm Tuesday also.

This is one of those jobs that I would do for free if I could still support my family! I'm sure there's others on here that feel the same way. Where I used to live, they hired in at mid-30s and you got "bonus" pay for having different certifications coming in. I think Nashville's pay is pretty good at entry level. Check out the job description for chief. $115K~$154K annual salary.

LOCATION: Nashville Convention Center 601 Commerce St., Nashville, TN 37203 (Downtown Nashville). Proceed to Level 1 to the East Exhibit Hall area.

PARKING: Candidate responsibility. Paid parking in the downtown area. Do not park at a parking meter, you will not be allowed to leave the testing area to put money in the meter.

I live only 3 miles away so I will probably bike in, but I would recommend parking in the public library lot. I think it's the cheapest around, and it's only 2 blocks from the convention center.

The pay for the Chief of Department SUCKS!!

They should be able to pay better than that! Should be $150,000 - $200,000.

    Hiring pay should be 39,000 - 45,000!

    Default Took my written today

Yep my written test was 8 am oct 5th. I did about 2:53 on ladder climb, 2:12 on agility. I was glad I passed but looking at some scores hope thats good enough. Some on here said 4000 applied, anyone know how many made it through physical , then how many out of that got invited to written?

This was my first time applying, so glad I passed.
