thank you for your view point. you are good at throwing hand granades. do some digging and you may find your truth. no matter what i write you will say POLITICS. while you were in Ct. i was in DC talking to congressman from around the US. Fact the bill was voted on twice both times lee did notthing to help. oh the bill passed btw with the bi-partisan support . the senate next and will be law soon.

The James Zadroga 9/11 Health & Compensation Act" is a bill that is funded by closing tax loopholes on foreign companies that do business in the United States and NO NOT CURRENTLY PAY UNITED STATES TAXES . No U.S. worker will loose their job over this bill as many members of the republican party have stated. No US taxpayer funded monies will be used to pay for "The James Zadroga Health & Compensation Act". It is very clear that Mr. Lee did not read HR 847 before moving to have it killed in the House of Representatives. He instead chose to vote for HR 847 in a partisan fashion. The second time HR 847 was voted on in late September, needy 1st responders watched as 1 more democrat and 5 more Republicans voted their conscience and changed their vote from no in late July to yes the second time around. HR 847 passed with the bi-partisan support of 17 republican members of congress. Mr. Lee was not 1 of these republican members during either vote. Both parties failed the 1st responders during the many years and the many chances this bill had to move out of the house and on the desk of the president. However Mr. Lee of NEW YORK played partisan politics over the 1st responders. The time to argue about the value or worth of the lives of 9/11 1st responders is not now. Now is the time to pass this bill and give dying 9/11 1st responders the medical help they deserve. Bottom-line is this, Mr. Lee was the only member of the NY delegation to vote no for HR 847. Mr. Lee's actions left members of the FDNY on the floor above to burn. We hope these actions are not repeated in theUS Senate.

I might suggest the same to you. You obviously haven't done much digging yourself. It took very little digging on my part to find out that your versionj of the story was heavily biased at best. You still haven't been able to answer any questions about exactly what Lee was trying to change so I suspect that you don't even know. Sorry, but your lack of both facts and objectivity in this issue effectively invalidates your statements about Lee.

It is very clear that Mr. Lee did not read HR 847 before moving to have it killed in the House of Representatives.
This a good example of the kind of BS rhetoric that damages your credibility. Lee never tried to kill the bill. He, in fact, remains a co-sponsor of the bill.

You have an axe to grind, that's your choice. Just don't expect others to agree with you without knowing the facts.

Repeating it doesn't change the fact that it isn't true. As a co-sponsor and strong supporter, Lee obviously supported the bill. He apprently had some issues with the form of the bill that passed but not with the bill itself. For all we know, the version of the bill he envisioned was better than what went to the Senate.

What I understand is that your assertions contradict the congressional record. As for why he voted, would you care to share the specifics of his motion to recommit with instructions? Do you know what they were? (Citations, please, not just more rhetoric.)
