These people forgot 9-11-01 first responders. Is this how you feel. They Voted No on the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act HR 847. This bill will help Firefighters and cops that worked on the pile and are now sick and dying. We need your help. Call these guys and gals and tell them to vote YES when it comes up again. Tell them don't add any amendments to this bill and to pass it. I know you have not FORGOTTEN 9-11-01. PLEASE CALL THEM.

yep, I was pretty disgusted when I saw these things, especially when Ander Crenshaw appeared to be "in touch" with remember that day. Guess he was just masquerading.

Why not just a simple majority as they had enough votes to pass no problem ... politics ...At the last moment however, the House Democratic Leadership changed the rules to require a 2/3’s majority rather than a simple majority. This was done to protect Democratic members from having to vote on a possible Republican amendment or motion to change the bill by preventing illegal immigrants from taking part in the 9/11 program. Thus, when H.R. 847 came to a vote in the evening of July 29th, it did not pass even though it received a strong majority of 255 votes!
