Hee hee. I read this one this morning and thought that it was priceless.
Seems a guy in New Bedford, MA was sitting next to another guy being charged with child molestation. When the prosecutor read off the list of charges and accounts of the molestation on a 7 year old, the other detainee popped him one.
Gotta love justice.

Prisoner punches accused molester in court
By Brian Fraga / New Bedford Standard-Times | Friday, August 6, 2010 | http://www.bostonherald.com | Local Coverage
NEW BEDFORD — A Fairhaven man, charged with molesting a 7-year-old girl, was hearing the allegations against him when another prisoner suddenly turned and punched him in the face.
Court officers immediately jumped in to separate the prisoners Thursday. William E. Reed, 43, of New Bedford was escorted out of the courtroom and charged with assault and battery along with the burglary charges that had brought him to New Bedford District in the first place.
“I’ve never seen something like that happen before,” said Benjamin Evans, a public defender with the Bristol County Committee for Public Counsel Services.
Evans represented John Messieri, 24, a former paramedic from the Chelmsford area who was arrested this week following an investigation by the Fairhaven Police Department.
Messieri is charged with rape of a child. Judge Thomas J. Kirkman set bail at $50,000 cash. Kirkman also revoked bail from a pending case out of Wareham District Court, where Messieri was arraigned in May on charges of driving with a suspended license.
Messieri will spend the next 60 days in jail, after which he will be held on bail from his new case.

There are degrees of crime that even criminals won't tolerate. There is some hope for humanity yet.
A lot of my family has worked in prisons, from county jails to federal facilities. It was always fun and amazing to hear the stories from the inside."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -- Benjamin Franklin

And I'll bet he got a quiet pat on the back afterwards too. But of course you can't put that out in public.
And ya, I had a few family members and friends who worked provincial jails. Some pretty strange stories from them too.

Would really like that guy to come to OC and start visiting some of the catholic rectories.
Politics is like driving. To go forward select "D", to go backward select "R."

What was it "Sully" on "Third Watch" told his rookie partner after the guy beat the crud out of some man accused of molesting his own daughter:"You keep doing that to every bastard that deserves it and your arms are going to be sore every day."
A guy I know from work was recently arrested for that.I've already told people who can get word to him that IF he's convicted,I'd like to be first in line to whip up on him.
However, having been accused of if myself by an ex's daughter mad because I wouldn't let her skip homework and house chores,I also added that if he is proven innocent,I'd be first in line to buy him a beer and commiserate with him on it.Last edited by doughesson; 08-10-2010 at 12:45 PM.
