I heard a rumor that if you had a parent or grandparent that was CFD that you would be able to get hired there as a legacy? Any truth to this? Just curious, thanks!

Legacy....
The only way that would happen is if the parent were killed in the line of duty. Even then, you would have had to take the test AND had a passing score to be eligible. No random hires allowed.
