All of you going through the process with WSI need to ask them one very important question. How much time do they have on the current contract and have they been awarded the next contract by KBR.
As always you are taking a chance when you quit one job to take another, but when you quit in order to take a contract gig you're placing your financial stability in the hands of a company that could close the doors at any time.
Just make sure you have a back-up plan.
Take Care

Listen people don’t worry about the company’s contract. If a different company is awarded the new contract that company will pick up the employees from the old company. Think about this…. The mission that the government is requiring is not going away. Why would a new company do all the leg work and spend all that money to bring new employees over instead of using the employees that are already on site. The only inconvenience you would have is changing the patch on your sleeve. Now, if the government decides that they no longer need the contractor’s services and are not going to award a new contract at all then you have something to worry about.

Not entirely true picafire...depending on the new company and if you had worked for them before..did you leave on good terms or not. You never assume that your going to get picked up by another company !!

Got ya, under normal conditions if you are a good employee you will be picked up. What kind of concerns me at this point is the draw down of troops in Iraq starting in September. Think that gravy train will be running out soon or at least scaled back
