Question regarding Fire Prevention and Safety:
What are the grant gurus opinions on writing for a fire safety trailer with interactive props (both for children and adults) but just purchasing the props and integrating them into a donated trailer as opposed to writing for an entire interactive fire safety trailer?
The cost would be less but I will be including a digital extinguisher training system as well to include local businesses.
Would the peers be able to see I was trying to get the best bang for the buck or do you think it would be easier to write for the completely new trailer?

Do you have the donated trailer already? If not--Can you be absolutely certain that the source will not dry up between application and potential award? Can you sell that to the peer review commttee? Do you have folks with the skill (and time) to do the build-out on your own? Can you get it all put together and in-service within 12 months? Do you have a plan to use all of the items you've addressed and is it to the target audience of the program guidance?
Asking those questions of yourself and viewing your answers as reviewer would will go a long way toward letting you know if the app will fly. Then...tell that same story in the narrative.
Having the plan and target audience are the start of success.
Hope this helps.

I would certainly second all of what greenacres said... and to your original question the answer would be yes, it could be funded and has a good cost benefit aspect to it.
