This is a great video for any instructors out there that do trench rescue. It's jobs like this that create rescues for us.
Curious...does your department inspect trenches when there being performed? Are you notified?

We tend to find trenches as we drive around. It is amazing at the lack of safety concerns that most crews have for themselves. Unfortunately, there are tons of trenches in our area. Fortunately, we have had a lot of lucky crews and very few unlucky ones.
