Sorry in my excitement I must have been thinking of a tax return.

    I meant 1199 and 1199a.

    Operations

Spreader, cutters, reels, power unit to replace a 30 year old set of original hurst, which we got second hand in 81-82

2 TICs to replace defective Scott (10+ years old)

Cribbing, to replace a bunch of 2x4 nailed together.

I keep checking to make sure I am not dreaming.

Yeah I got one last October (I think, it has been so long). I received the DJ when they did the initial dump. I was upset because I did get the reduction and the DJ said my scores were high but......

Hmm. Same thing that happened to me - I got a reduction but then I got a DJ.

I am not going to get my hopes up.

Yes you will. You just won't admit it to the rest of us.

I am just watching to see if anyone at my old department has had the same thing.

Thanks DC, we sure do need that equipment.

Congrats, Big Sandy! You can bring that stuff down US 23 to Johnson County if we need mutual aid, can't you?

You were right for a few minutes... My son is in Christchurch right now so my thoughts are not even close to a grant.

FEMA could really brighten up my day though and give me a sign!

Old Gomer, Jim Neighbors was his real name. I haven’t heard anything out of him in a long time. He was raised just up the road from me in a town named Sylacauga. The main street going though the town is named after him. He came from a poor family. His first shot at acting was on the Andy Griffith show if I remember right. He sure was a big star in his days. The last time I heard anything about him he had a nice little place in Hawaii where he lived overlooking the sea. Not sure if he is still living.

I just got the email asking if I accept the reduction and of course I said yes.

Has anyone else been revisited or has anyone heard of any other FD?

Out of curiousity, what were your reductions and what did you request for cribbing?

Jim Nabors is still alive. He sang "Back Home Again In Indiana" at the Indy 500 again this year.

The TICs were reduced from 9800 to 9000. The cribbing request is for 12,000.

Were TICs awarded at a higher amount in previous years? I thought they were awarded at the $10,000 level?

They used to be, but reduced to $9,000 as the max.
