I'm 16 and about to take firefighter 1 in New York. Are we allowed to do the interior operations part of the class? Or do we get hosed on that part?

Heres an idea - why dont you talk to who is teaching the class and also your Chief/leader ? Proably more relevant than a bunch of strangers on the net.

If it's like my state, you can't test for certification until you are 18.
I would suspect you are about to be "hosed".

I can say in Iowa, I can do interior as part of a controlled simulator, I was 16 when I did my first one. But, comparing Iowa to New York is like comparing apples to a cow's ***. Just ask, you will find out.
When I first saw this topic I almost shook my head and almost didn't look. Interior operations under this section...who knows what could be asked.
