4x4 Seagrave Marauder II

Here is a photo I took this summer up in great Snowbird, UT.

Engine 113 - Unified Fire Authority
2009 4x4 Seagrave Marauder II

As this truck really looks impressive to me, does anyone know some other new 4x4 Seagrave Marauder units in the states, or is this a single piece?

Hi CO-Dave,

thanks a lot. I know this 6x6 Tatra ( San Diego has also several Tatra Brush units), as well as I know you area regarding all wheel drive fire apparatus. Greater Boulder is a really nice place to live!!!!
I will travel this area again next spring!
Following departments there are on my list:
- Rocky Mountain Fd
- Sugar Loaf
- Nederland
- Estes Park
- High Country
and on and on, as well as several departments in the great Denver foothills.

Regarding your 6x6 Tatra, you will also know this 6x6 Oshkosh from Platte Canyon FPD, CO - see attachment

Lukas,Why the interest in the all wheel drives? None in your locale? Just curious. Check out Carrabasset Valley(Maine) Metz Ladder on a 4x4. T.C.

hello from Austria! Nearly 80% of our firetrucks here in Austria are all wheel drive...but we do not have custom chassis!

The american custom chassis fire trucks with AWD look that great and different and are not that common! I really love them!

Crested Butte, Colorado has exactly the same ladder.

The one from Maine, if memory serves me, features a rear mount pump too. As if being a 4wd Metz weren't enough.

I always get a kick out of how conflicted some of the European Countries are. On the side of the truck is a rhino with "Stamps a Fire Out" in English. And when the camera was panned around at the members standing in a row, several of the signs for the businesses behind them were in English. In a trip to Denmark I was amazed that most of the signs in the airport were in English first and then Danish. And most of the airport delivery trucks had their signs on the side of the body in English. I thought that was rather strange.
