Thanks for the link... Not knowing any better, I guess I had always assumed that a fire company's or station's "explorer" program was just something they put together themselves. But they're actually all part of this larger program, or based on it or affiliated with it, I take it?
It's usually an extension of the Boy Scouts of America.
Not all departments Explorer of Junior programs are affiliated with BSA. Some are organized by the individual department.
If it's legitimate, it's always an extension of BSA. Otherwise they're using the "Explorer" name without authorization.Quote:
