Hey guys congrats to everyone for their hard work and making it this far. I'm #23 and will be at orientation on the 25th. I know of at least one other candidate who is ranked #23 also and have heard that there are several "ranks" that have multiple candidates. Obviously this means as in my case even though I'm ranked 23rd my "real" number may be in the upper 30s or even 40 depending on how many ranks have multiple candidates. I haven't seen any comments on this so if this has already been discussed I apologize. Maybe BeachFire would know if multiple candidates within each rank is common or not.

They didn't rank us like this, so IrishFire must have some info that I just haven't heard. But again, I just pass on what I hear from guys that are involved with the hiring process and a few procedures have changed within the past few years but we are supposed to be hiring 40 off of this list so you guys are looking solid. Just don't do anything stupid.

Quoted for truth. Those of you being called to orientation are in a spot that even guys that are hired would like to be in. The beach is a great department to work for and it would be stupid if you lost the opportunity over something like drinking and driving or traffic violations. Beachfire- since you've been the one answering the questions this ones for you! as per the first orientation meeting it's 2 classes that are going to be put threw right? (20 per class?) I'm wondering how good of a shot I really have. Anyone getting disqualified yet?
