Concerning the porn, the firefighters, and the upset female... I took a hardline and went the route of telling them to report it to the supervisor and if they didn't I'd have to tell them myself.

Some of my classmates though tried to keep it internal and handle it themselves, I felt though, that when its a clear rules violation it has to follow the chain of command. Its not your decision to make it and you definitely don't want your name associated either.

So do we have any idea as to when we will be receiving our scores from the BAP we took?

I really do wonder how they're going to rate these responses, I've heard this from multiple people.

Firefighters from current departments tend to score well on the miami beach tests... the majority of the last recruits were already employed. Also, people who prepared a little or did some research tend understand the questions better. So between one and the other there could be a 1/3 of the test takers all giving pretty well prepared answers.... but I really can't imagine more than a 1/3 being prepared and giving decent answers. OR then again I could be wrong.

We have reason to be optimistic though, with them recruiting around 40 firefighters, they should get to at least 100 applicants.

It would be nice...me nd the guys that i tested with from the station were talking about that at role call today..saying that since we all got hired at different times it would be pretty cool for the 4 of us to restart a clean slate with another department like the Beach

You can check your scores online at the website you applied at.

I don't know whats considered high, or low, but I don't think I did well enough, I am disappointed.

I got an 88.89 on my BAP and I do not know if that includes bonus points. I have not been mailed by miami beach, maybe they're only mailing the highest scores first?

My initial reaction is just disappointment, and feeling like I should have done better.

I got a 95.56 and from what HR said that does not include bonus points. I'm hoping this score is high enough for the first hiring process.

Well, that didn't go so well...I wasn't expecting to ace it, but I thought I'd score better than I did. Oh well, good luck to those of you who did well, I'm sure I wont be standing in your way!!

The first class of the last list all had 100s. The second class had a few 100s and the rest were on the high 90s. Good luck guys.

Let me rephrase that. With bonus points there were 102s, 101s, 100s. The second hiring group hit some 90 scores. I hope this helps.

Did they include a ranking with your scores? They did the last time around.

With all of the people that we will be hiring off of this list and all of the people that will still be eliminated through the poly, background, and voice stress analasis, I like anyone's chances who scored in the 90s. I am already speaking with friends of mine who have a ton of experience and bonus points who have bombed this test. If you were one of the guys who didn't score very well, keep your head up and don't get discouraged. You have a fire department out there where you were "meant" to work.
