I am working to improve our department PM system, and am looking for a sytem that is up and running so I won't have to reinvent the wheel. Anyone got something in place that I can modify easily for my department?

There are many factors involved is putting a PM program in place. The first thing you need to figure out is your truck usage (hours and miles). Everything is based off of that. Hours are more important than miles because of idle time. I know most of our PM work is based off of hours.
For us certain trucks get serviced every couple of months and others get serviced once a year depending on usage.
Every truck receives a complete DOT inspection yearly by an outside vendor.
