They said you should receive notification no later than March 11th. I would assume you should receive it sooner if you selected to be notified by email though. They said if you don't receive it by then you should contact them.

Oral Exam: March 19 - April 2, 2011 (these dates are tentative and will be adjusted as necessary)

You can also check your application status @...

    https://www.governmentjobs.com/js_login.cfm?topheader=0

This should update with your pass/fail your oral date (but it could update after you get notice, who knows.)

No score yet but my status on governmentjobs.com changed from "written exam" to "schedule for oral boards."

Same here. I am sure they are working on getting this all figured out today to prevent a flood of e-mails tomorrow.

I think I may have set my profile to paper notification. Hopefully I don't have to wait a few extra days for it to come in the mail. I'd like to see where I stand before I book another flight.

My interview is scheduled for March 19th at 11:15am. I was thinking about rescheduling for the 21st or 26th but those dates were taken in less then 10 minutes after I got my notice. Anyway, good luck everyone!

Hey guys, im currently scheduled for 3/26 @ 1530. I'm in England from 3/16-3/30. If someone is willing to free up any time from 3/31-4/2 that would be awesome. This will
also help out our man nnfra200302.

    Thanks a lot!

nvm - All is well, a slot on 4/1 opened up. Thanks to whoever freed it up

Got my e-mail at 9:03 this morning. Passed, and scheduled for oral board.
Passing score was 74%. I did not get my score.
Discussions w/ a FF at one of the oral board seminars gave me the following estimates:
    4,500 - Initial Applicants
3,200 - Applicants took the written test
2,200 - Applicants who passed the test, and scheduled for 1st oral board
Final list will be used for 3 years.
    Good luck to all.

I'm also advancing to the oral board. It's only 15 minutes! Wow, talk about the power of a first impression.

Hey nnfra200302: Check the Seattle web site. They just posted a number of alternate dates.

    tyoung:
It is highly likely that SFD checks for outstanding Wants or Warrants as part of the background check. It is highly unlikely that they will hire anyone with an outstanding warrant. And if they miss it on the background check, they will fire you when they do see it b/c you did not disclose it. My advice to you would be to get an attorney and work w/ justice to resolve your issue ASAP. If you can get it resolved with no criminal record you will stand a good chance of not being penalized. Good luck.

Hey nnfra200302. Are you from reno? Northern Nevada Fire Rescue Academy? Just saw the name and thought I'd ask.

Holy crap, they are going to interview 2200 people the first round! I remember when they interviewed 950 the first time when I did it 2 years ago. I thought that was a lot

Interviewing 5 people is tedious. I can't even imagine the drudgery of thousands. I think the firefighters in the first oral board volunteer for it too.

    /salute
