Is anyone aware of any FD's or other offering an EMT basic cert this winter?
Last year I believe that I heard that Southaven did a compressed 6 week EMT course.

Your best bet is to get with one of the local community colleges. NWCC teaches 1 in Senatobia and 1 in Southaven, but they are all still a semester long. Now with the new requirements, they will probably lenthen the course a little. Southaven did and in house class and so did Olive Branch, but I don't think they were very popular. Plus Southaven will not let you participate unless your are employed by Southaven.
