I have made an android application that replaces the shift calendar, called Shift Adder. If you have an android phone this app will add your shifts to the phone calendar. You no longer have to keep a shift calendar or card around to schedule appointments. The shifts are added as all day events on your calendar for up to one year at a time. Right now it only supports the 24/48 shift schedule.
What other shifts do I need to incorporate? 24/72? 24on/24call/48off? Kelly Shift?

All in One
I am in the process of developing an app that will add any shift pattern to the calendar. Thank you all for inspiring me. I will need testers when I get to that point. I will keep everyone here apprised of how it is coming.
PS
Damien thank you for your service. My son is an F-16 Crew Chief.

App Update
FYI
24/48 and 24/72 shifts are now supported within the app. I rewrote the time logic so now it is no longer 30 shifts for 3 months, it is just 3 months. However many shifts it takes to fill that time.
Pretty major code clean up and bug fixes also. Fixed a bug that would not add shifts to calendar with the default settings.
Hope this helps someone and their family. Merry Christmas

Trial on the Market
Shift Adder Platinum. I have added a lot of fixes learned from the other shift apps. This app uses letters to pattern your shift.
Examples:
3 days, 3 nights, 4 off = DDDNNNOOOO
2 days on 4 off(48/96) = WWOOOO
24 on, 24 on call, 48 off = WCOO
Try it out and give me some feedback. I still need an HTC and Samsung to test before I release the paid version with 3,6,and 12 month additions.Last edited by Phobos; 12-25-2010 at 06:45 PM. Reason: added name of app
